OPOLIS @ FLUX FACTORY – June 2006
This is the library I created for “Opolis: A Giant-Scale Miniature City in 13 Blocks by 15 Artists” at Flux Factory in Queens, NY. Each artist in the show designed one block of the city. The roof of the library is a book, hinged to the back of the building so it can open and close (shown open). Tents pitched on the library lawn are turned-over books, with library patrons drawn inside.
