Artists are given nothing but black paint and white walls with which to create a freeform collaborative exhibition.
The idea, developed by Scott Chasse and Thomas Buildmore, is based on giving artists a specific blend of viscous Lascaux brand paint creating a visceral high contrast sharp edge style.
Paint it Now has been completed and exhibited 3 times now in 2008 & 2010 at The Distillery Gallery in Boston, MA, and in 2011 at Fowler Arts Collective in Brooklyn, NY. Space 1026 will be hosting this event in May with 15 participating artists.
