PREVIEW NIGHT First Friday, DECEMBER 6th, 7 – 10 p.m.
 plus a WEEK OF EVENTS December 7th – 12th!
The annual art auction allows us to continue the 16-year mission of
Space 1026. At its core, Space 1026 is a member run gallery and collective studio space located in Center City Philadelphia, PA. We play an important roll in the Philadelphia art community serving as a collaborative and supportive venue for varied gallery programming focusing on emerging artists and exciting non-traditional projects. Space 1026 provides affordable studio space to its members and houses a communal silkscreen facility. In addition to supporting Space 1026 and its undertakings, the art auction provides an accessible way for new audiences to discover and own great art donated by our members and supporters.
Our members work in a wide variety of media – from printmaking to sculpture to video arts – and over the years, Space 1026 has been home to a great number of successful projects, including New Dreamz, Zine of the Month, Holly Holly Hobby Hobby, Harborcoat Press, Never Nothing, Sweatheart, Free News Projects, Small Change Screenings, Cars Will Burn, Cantab Publishing and Megawords Magazine, among
many others. We are grateful for the generous donations and enthusiastic crowds that continue to make our art auction successful year after year.
This past year, Space 1026 participated in a large collective exhibition series called CITYWIDE. Space 1026 members made a large scaled installation in Vox Populi. As well as participating in this event, our gallery hosted curated group shows and solo exhibitions featuring works by international artists, as well as national and local artists such as: Tyler Held, Leslie Friedman, Crystal Stokowski, Katie Murken, Martha Rich, Keith Greiman, Lisa Kereszi, Sam Friedman, Andrew Liang, Clark Mizono, Jessica Hans, among others. We also hosted a successful benefit in honor of Justin Van Hoy. Proceeds were donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. We regularly hosted a diverse range of  programs including a video screening series, comedy revues, art performances & music shows. With your support we look forward to continuing to foster eclectic gallery programming and a growing community of artists for many years to come.

Our First Friday Preview Night is the kick-off event for the Week of Events.  Auction items will be added as they come in, so stop by throughout the week! All events are FREE (so you can save your money for the auction) and open to the public.
