Children, ironically, are Space 1026’s harshest critics

First excitement, then puzzlement, then tears of confusion and then fits of RAGE! These are the reactions by many, if not all of the children who have visited Space 1026’s “Ewok village” now on display at the Institute of Contemporary Art. Ignoring the colorful colors and roping ropes, the children only care about one thing when they see the dazzling display of trees, and rope bridges and milk crates, HOW DO THEY GET UP THERE!!!? Billy, age 5, had this to say, ” I wan back and fworth fwom twee to twee and there was no staircase for me to get up to the bwidges and fun stuff, I was so sad when I was told it wasn’t for weel, I cried all the way home.” Sally, age 7, had even harsher words, ” I feel ripped off, if I ever meet the mean people who bamboozled me, I will stomp on their toes and stick earth worms in their drinks!”

More Localized Gravity Photos

In case anyone isn’t dizzy from staring at shingles for the past month, here are some more shots during setup. I didn’t get any pictures during the opening because I forgot to put the memory card back in my camera and I’m hating myself for it. They should make digital cameras with memory card alarms! If I could kick myself in the head I would, but until I get a set of double-jointed hips I guess I’ll just have to settle with kneeing myself in the face.

Catch a Minnow: DRIZZ HOLLERING!!!

Check this out:
Thanks to Plastic Little for that subject line :) We love those bastards, so should you. Give them all your money…after you come through one last time for this:

WE HAVE 1000+ RECORDS TO MOVE THIS WEEKEND!!!!!! Please come through and grab some, make some offers and give us a couple of bucks ;) Seriously, we need to get them out of the space by the end of the weekend, and we’d love if you added to your vinyl collection with what we’ve got.

Someone…possibly the Ghost of Minnow’s Past…will be at 6th and Bainbridge this weekend trying to get that hustle on. This all sounds too vague you say? Well, it is. We’d love to pay some more bills by making a few sales…but we’re better off rolling some dice and making the hustle happen at this point. This last operation will be based on charitable donation and in the spirit of a free for all. First come, first serve. When you come through, help push a mop or broom…too.

Minnow this weekend:
Saturday – between 12p and 5p
Sunday – ???????????? sometime….

Expect a note in the door, otherwise……
so, yea, get in there!
