A performance in a lecture series type format that surveys the constant rituals brought forth everyday, every month, every year until our demise. Including the non-stop purging of literal and metaphoric excrement caused by eating meals and doing what you have to do to pay rent.

SWOON @ FOUNTAIN NYC
GLOWLAB is pleased to announce it will host benefit exhibition for a nautical art project pioneered by the artist SWOON. Swimming Cities of Serenissima is a fleet of three intricately hand crafted vessels that will navigate the Adriatic Sea from the Karst region of Slovenia to Venice, Italy in May of 2009. Designed by the visual artist SWOON, the floating sculptures are descendants of the Swimming Cities of Switchback Sea (Hudson River, 2008) and the Miss Rockaway Armada (Mississippi River, 2006 and 2007).
Glowlab is an innovative art gallery and creative catalyst located in New York. We collaborate with and present the work of artists exploring the convergence of art, technology and the urban environment.

STILL LIFE DRAWING @ PIFAS
Life drawing at the Institute is an investigation into the subject of the still-life, one of the most commonly employed genres throughout history. From the Egyptians to the Old European Masters and beyond, still-life painting has served many societal functions, whether equipping the dead with possessions needed in the afterlife, or symbolically communicating didactic messages. Please join us to discover the implications of this ancient tradition when applied to our contemporary landscape. Come prepared to draw.
Everyone is welcome – Wednesday at 7 in the lobby. We are thinking about a cornucopia theme. Hope you can make it!
