Opening Friday, May 6th – Becky Suss – Cold Cold Ground
Space 1026 is proud to present Cold Cold Ground, an exhibition of new works by Becky Suss. Suss’ landscape paintings focus on the inconsistency of memory and how the act of remembering can challenge our understanding and experience of place. Please join us for an opening reception Friday, May 6th from 7-10 pm at 1026 Arch St.
Becky Suss was born in Philadelphia where she currently lives and works. She holds a BA from Williams College and an MFA from the University of California, Berkeley. STOLEN
From our friends at THIS, Los Angeles
“Last night towards the end of our These Friends opening (after the crowds had left and we were cleaning up) someone stole a piece off the wall and bolted out the front door. It was Jason Lee’s one of a kind 8×10 Polaroid of the late Dennis Hopper. The artist is putting up a $25,000 dollar reward to anyone who brings it back to us. This is a very sentimental one of a kind piece for obvious reasons. The thief can come forward anonymously and charges won’t be pressed against him. Please get the word out and help us get Jason’s art back. You can call us 323-747-5301 or email this@thislosangeles.com with any information. Thanks.”

OFF THE BLANKET – SATURDAY, 12 – 6 here at 1026
In the process of cleaning out the studio I came across a ton of old prints. A lot of them are event posters or old, out-of-print editions that are little muffed up (slight dings in the paper or a small dry spot in the pull). Anyhow, it’s time to thin out the stock so I’ll be selling a bunch of these this Saturday at Space 1026′s annual “Off the Blanket” sale.
Everything is five to twenty bucks – discounts given for buying in bulk.
Here at 1026 Arch Street.
