Culled from the archives of Adam Wallacavage, Ben Woodward and Andrew Jeffery Wright, 10 YEARS AT 1026 presents photos taken during the first decade of Space 1026. Released upon the occasion of the 10 year retrospective show at the Space, this ‘zine collects some never before printed images including all of the annual “family photos” taken to date.

First Friday Focus : Never Forget! Do It Yourself With Other People
"What places like 1026 and Spector (RIP) did was loosen everybody up, throw open the doors to young talent and set the precedent for the new independent gallery. Now Philly's scene is thriving on that philosophy. (Just don't tell 1026 they're any kind of institution.)
This show gives us all a chance to catch up, surveying the work of the more than 40 members they've had over the years as well as their spontaneous collaborations and inspirations. Given this group's past, it would be foolish to predict what this show will be like beyond that."

Best Reason for Space 1026 to Take Their Shows on the Road
"If you want to build some kinda freaky, multi-colored re-creation of the Ewok Village you're gonna need some serious elbow room. Luckily the ICA has the overhead to put on something like the Locally Localized Gravity art/music/performance monsterpiece.
(Second best reason for 1026 to go on the road? The ICA is a wee bit better at promoting. Dear 1026 kids, we love you but please stop doodling on your bathroom walls long enough to sell yourself once in a while.)"
