TONIGHT, First Friday December 2nd, come by Space 1026 and scope out the items available for donation at next week’s Art Auction! It’s the kick-off event for an entire week of free & daily fun. We are excited to welcome Psychic Franklin, a freeform cassette tape and record DJ (with special guest DJ Lei-Away playing 90s R&B hip hop)!

The annual art auction allows us to continue the 14-year mission of Space 1026. At its core, Space 1026 is a member-run gallery and collective studio space located in Center City Philadelphia, PA. Â We play an important role in the Philadelphia art community serving as a collaborative and supportive venue for varied gallery programming focusing on emerging artists and exciting non-traditional projects. Space 1026 provides affordable studio space to its members and houses a communal silkscreen facility. Â In addition to supporting Space 1026 and our undertakings, the art auction provides an accessible way for new audiences to discover and own great art donated by our members and supporters.

Last year, Joanna S. Quigley auctioned off herself for a date and this year she would like to marry you. No wait, not marry you, she wants to marry you and your sweetheart! Recently ordained minister of the Universal Life Church, Quigley will be auctioning off her services to officiate your wedding ceremony. She is available to perform any type of marriage ceremony or union and offers the option of costume, performance and/or general theatrics. Let’s really make this a day to remember!
