Blog Bumps

“Over at Space 1026, there’s a girl-group art collective from Providence, RI, Dirt Palace, strutting its collaborative art-making and installation chops. As in all the collaborative installations that sweep through Space 1026, this one had its highlights. The best in this exhibit, Secret Rooms of the Dirtpalace – Volume 3, was a quilt draped on a sofa that lives in the exhibition space at 1026. The quilt was covered with sparkly breasts–or maybe the little mounds of Dots candy on a scroll of paper. Either way, they looked like you could actually sit on them without pain–kind of those funny, fashionable shoe insole bumps—for the whole body.”

Times are tough for the freelance film producer

Ted Passon’s car is mangled mess of shattered glass and broken dreams.

PLEASE HELP!
My name is Ted. Philly flipped my car. I hope they can help fix it. It happened after the world series at Broad and Ellsworth St. at approx. 1:30am. Please help if you can. If 300 people (ideally those on Broad St. who got to enjoy the flipping spectacle) give $10.00 each I’m sure I could get a new car. Whatever you can offer will be much appreciated.

Help him here:

He too is turning to the web.

AUCTION TIME: 1026 Art Auction PREVIEW

December 5th from 6 to 9pm

Stop by the gallery and preview art auction items. Visitors in the gallery and online can place bids on our eBay auction that will run throughout the following week.

AUCTION TIME: Live Call In Show from 7-9pm
Mary Beth Flannery and Eduardo Luardo come from a retail and performance art background. They are longtime fans of home shopping as they were both extremely overweight for several years and couch-ridden. They will be hosting a very special hour of Space1026 Shop From Home, “AUCTION TIME!” this December 5, 2008.

They started the show, “Auction Time” after a stint on The Antique Road Show where they were humiliated after bringing what they though was an authentic alicorn (unicorn horn).

They live and work in Narberth, Pennsylvania with their 3 cats, Chairman Meow, Col. Otis J. Whiskerson and Lord Alfred Powerbottom and their many collectible dolls.
